Covering local athletes and celebrating their exploits is always rewarding, but quite often we never learn the story behind the athlete, or what they went through or had to overcome in their lives to get to that point.

So when we were notified about how Garrett Buske, a recent graduate of Stockton High School, had been chosen to represent the Chicago region in a special Shriner's Hospital PGA Golf event ... to say our jaws dropped would be an understatement.
