Traffic Fatality

On July 17, 2020 at 4:01 p.m., the Jo Daviess County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center received multiple 911 reports of an accident with injuries on US RT 20 at Devils Ladder Rd in rural Galena.

Upon arrival it was learned that a vehicle driven eastbound by Beverly A. Kloss, 74 of Elizabeth, had crossed the center line and entered into the westbound lane causing a vehicle driven westbound by Nancy J. Jargo, 59 of Clinton, to take evasive action.
