The IHSA has only allowed small groups of athletes to do basic fitness exercises with coaches, so organized football practices are still a long way off. But that doesn't mean there haven't been some major changes being announced.

With student enrollments dwindling, no sport showcases the differences – even among the small schools – more than football. There is a big difference for a school with only 132 students that might get 15 to 20 kids out for football, when it is compared to a Lena-Winslow that has over 230 enrolled and easily 50 students out each and every season.
