Lane Christians put an emphatic end to any Forreston hopes of a rally with an emphatic dunk with 2:28 to go in the game.
The Eastland Cougars were hit with a pretty tough blow even before their Regional game against Forreston took place when it was learned that starting forward, senior Brock Coatney, had the flu and was out for the week.
Trying to fit people into Coatney's roles were part of the reason for being sluggish, while the possibility that more players were feeling "not quite right" was another as the Cougars struggled to put Forreston away but still pulled off the 57-46 victory.
