The Eastland Cougars were in trouble.

At halftime of the Class 1A State Championship game, Eastland trailed the top ranked Lewistown Lady Indians by ten at 36-26. To make matters even worse, they looked bad doing it.

Lewistown was using a full court 1-2-2 press that was befuddling the Cougars into silly turnovers. In fact, Eastland had 12 of them in the first half.
