Pearl City completed the stunner by knocking off Eastland in conference play for the first time in five years.
Many schools claim to have a rivalry with another opponent, but the only way to truly have a rivalry is if both schools are capable of winning. For the Pearl City Wolves, they weren't able to make the claim about Eastland because the only other time they had beaten the Cougars was several years ago – when Kristy Pierce was still the coach at Eastland.
But Monday night in Lanark, the Wolves put together their best game of the season in rallying back from a game one 25-17 loss to claim the match with a 25-23, 25-17 sweep to ruin the start of the Cougar's Homecoming week.
