Panther senior, Paige Sowle-Diffenderfer celebrates her second straight stuff block in game two against Aquin.

Both the Aquin Bulldogs and Lena-Winslow Panthers have height, excellent athletes, and high volleyball hopes for the season. But one of them starts two freshmen, and that proved to be the difference as Lena-Winslow thumped Aquin in their home opener 25-12, 25-17.

The lack of overall experience was apparent from the very beginning. With a packed gym full of football players dressed in their Hill Billy best and chanting "Plant The Corn" or "Mountain Dew" or any other inane thing they could think of – the excitement in the Aquin gym felt almost like a post season contest.
